the imperfect storm

During the last summer I vacationed with my family in Puerto Rico. Puerto Rico for those who have never been or are unfamiliar with the climate, is very humid. Hot, humid and unexpected showers in the middle of the day are not uncommon. This picture shows exactly these attributes.

I was on the resort's beach when my cousin sent me multiple text messages exclaiming about this huge rain cloud a few miles out. Thats when i grabbed my SLR and rowed back to the hotel and climbed onto the roof of a rental car to take this shot of a rain cloud over the rainforests of Puerto Rico. Although the picture was not as good as I expected it to be, I still felt it was worth putting up. I tried to edit it as much as I could but I shot this image in JPEG, not in RAW.
